A Showcase of Our Made-to-Measure Cashmere Knitwear

I would like to introduce one of The Dressing Lab.'s signature items: our cashmere knitwear collection.

Each piece is made in Iwate Prefecture at a factory specializing in cashmere, using high-quality Japanese cashmere yarn. Compared with the ultra-high-gauge knitwear often seen from luxury brands, these pieces have a more understated sheen and a relatively modest appearance at first glance. However, once you touch and wear them, I believe you will appreciate their softness and comfort.

Each piece is generously knitted using an abundant amount of cashmere yarn, giving the knitwear a substantial yet soft feel. With regular brushing, washing, and wear, the texture gradually develops more character over time. These are simple, timeless pieces that I hope you can enjoy for many years. Although cashmere deserves proper care, I would also be happy for you to wear it naturally as part of your everyday wardrobe.

Let me begin with the classic lineup.

V-Neck "V-Neck Pullover"

You can choose the depth of the V-neck according to your preference. The version shown here has a shallow V, making it ideal for layering over an open-collar shirt or T-shirt. For a more classic look with a tie, we recommend a deeper V-neck.

Crew Neck "Crew Neck Pullover"

The crew neck is one of our most popular casual options. When worn under a tailored jacket, a true-to-size fit works beautifully. For a more relaxed look, however, choosing one or two sizes larger can also be very appealing. Thanks to the quality of the cashmere, even a slightly oversized silhouette can retain an elegant appearance.

In early autumn, I often use a crew-neck or V-neck sweater as a lightweight layer, simply draping it over my shoulders instead of wearing a jacket. Pullover knitwear can sometimes feel slightly inconvenient to take on and off, but carrying one over your shoulders before stepping outside provides just the right amount of warmth when needed. Indoors, you can simply remove it. It is an easy option for transitional weather and also adds depth when a shirt alone feels a little too simple.

A casually draped knit can also add a nice accent to a tailored jacket.

Cardigan & Scarf "Cardigan & Scarf"

Wear the cardigan as a touch of color under a jacket, or layer it casually over a crew-neck T-shirt. There are many ways to enjoy it. Pairing the cardigan with a matching turtleneck or scarf can also create a refined ensemble.

Our scarves can be ordered in a single color or in a bi-color design. Choosing your preferred color combination is part of the enjoyment. This example combines black with a light grey border. Since its debut last year, the scarf has also been a popular choice as a gift. The soft and light feel of cashmere makes it easy to give, and embroidered initials can be added for a more personal touch.

Turtleneck "Turtleneck"

This is our most frequently ordered knitwear model. Among the different styles, the turtleneck has an especially elegant appearance and works beautifully with both jackets and suits. Since no shirt is required underneath, it also makes dressing very simple.

It also works naturally with a suit. A mock neck can be ordered as an alternative for those who prefer a slightly shorter neckline.

Polo "Polo"

A clean silhouette with a slightly shorter body length.

A small rounded collar and refined narrow placket define the design. Mother-of-pearl buttons provide a subtle finishing touch.

Traditional long ribbing at the hem.
