2022 SS Recommended Fabrics Vol. 2 Caccioppoli “Jacket” & “Suits”

Tomohiro Hayashi
Once again this year, an exceptional collection has arrived from Naples! Building on last year’s hit fabrics such as wool–silk–linen Solaro and denim, this season introduces new striped patterns, updated color variations, and an even stronger lineup. It’s a collection that fully embodies Caccioppoli’s distinctive character, presented here with plenty of images for you to enjoy.
We are pleased to introduce the Cacciooppoli 2022 Spring/Summer fabrics. Many of our clients look forward each season to the limited-edition "Jacket" and "Suits" collections. Let's take a look at what the 2022 SS lineup has to offer.

Jacket
This season's key color story from Caccioppoli is said to be "ivory + sax blue + brown." It feels fresh to see this slightly feminine palette appearing alongside the brand's signature vivid blues and reds.
Bold Stripes
Wide stripes are very much on trend. They can easily look too loud, but this is where Caccioppoli excels: the balance of color and the luxurious hand of the wool-silk-linen blend turn it into a truly refined stripe-jacket cloth. Because navy is the ground color, you can style it much like a regular navy blazer. If you are looking to add an accent to your spring/summer rotation, this is a strong option.
Wool & Silk & Linen Denim
This special three-fiber denim, which I myself had made up into a suit and wear regularly, is back in the collection again this year. It combines the elegant sheen of silk with the relaxed character of linen--simply outstanding. Among the many denim-style fabrics on the market, this is a standout. Although it appears in the jacket bunch, it is a long-running favorite that we also make frequently as trousers or as a full suit (set-up).
What did you think of this season's Caccioppoli jacket offerings? Classic patterns and plains are given just the right touch of Caccioppoli's signature color sense, resulting in a collection that is elegant yet clearly distinctive. If you are looking for something refined and wearable, but with that "one step above" personality, we recommend viewing the Caccioppoli collection in person.
Suits
The first thing that catches the eye is the stripe positioned at the very front of the bunch book. As with the checks that follow, the textures include wool × silk × linen blends for added lightness. Rather than purely formal business suiting, these are cloths conceived for versatility--equally suitable for wearing the jacket on its own or the trousers on their own, and clearly designed with mix-and-match set-up styling in mind. This kind of flexible response to real client needs is exactly what makes Caccioppoli, which gathers feedback from order salons around the world, so compelling.
Stripes
As with the jacket collection, the stripes here are on the wider side, and the color combinations are inventive. Of course, you can wear them with a shirt and tie, but they will also look great with a knit or cut-and-sewn piece for a resort-like feel. Even worn as a separate jacket or separate trousers, each piece has enough character to serve as the focal point of your outfit.
Checks
The wool-silk-linen checks are beautifully colored. While they sit in the "suit" section of the bunch, I personally would be very happy to order a straightforward jacket in one of these. It would make up brilliantly.
Glen Check
There are three colors of wool-silk-linen glen check. This is my personal best pick of the bunch. Since I lean toward browns, I'm drawn to the top brown color. You can imagine it worn with a chambray shirt and tie, or dressed down with a polo and sneakers--the styling ideas just keep coming.
Wool-Silk-Linen Solaro
Available in three colors. The three-fiber Solaro, which was very well received last year, is back again. Wool and wool-silk Solaros are fairly standard, but this wool-silk-linen version is distinctly Caccioppoli. We have also introduced it on our Instagram.
So that is the overview of Caccioppoli's new "Jacket" and "Suits" bunches. In addition to these two books, the new "Special Cotton & Irish Linen" bunch has arrived. Their staple cotton-linen book has been refreshed: denim-like cotton-linen, and Irish linens in an extensive color range, make for a very substantial lineup. If you are planning to order a linen suit, Caccioppoli is a must-see.
At Dressing Lab, we will be holding a New Fabric Fair during the period below to showcase the SS fabrics. We would very much like you to see and handle these excellent new cloths in person, so please do visit us.
